Articles

Use Crtl+F to search for article titles

I don't plan on writing in any sort of a regular timing, but I will try to include dates on each article to show an idea of how frequently I write.

Depending on how frequently I write and add articles to this page, I may end up adding an in-page link to each category section.

Interpersonal

Articles about relationships, sociology, self-care, etc.

Christianity

Articles all about faith, from the basics to finer points. May include speculation.

Technology

Articles about technology, from help to theoretical arguments against it. Mostly from a technoskeptic worldview, but as you may notice from this website, I am fairly well-versed in technology too.

One article currently planned, should be out before too long. Update: turns out I am not that interested in wrting about tech. I may share some old essays I wrote on tech, so this section does not stay empty.

Politics / Society

Articles about civil life, government structures, sociological ideas, and generally contentious topics

Update- Most of the topics I would have written here I generally lost interest in. Perhaps I will write more later.

DIY/ Life Basics

Update: I feel like there are many other websites dedicated to this topic which will do much better than I could, so I am retiring the DIY section. (I never wrote any articles here, nothing is missing)

I will leave one piece of advice here, perhaps the most useful financial advice young people will get (I am not an financial advisor and this isn't financial advice). If or when you get a credit card, be careful of the debt trap. You will never improve your life through debt. Use it like it is a debit card, paying it off immediately when using it, and not using it at all if your bank doesn't hold enough money to pay it off before the purchase is made. If you follow this tip, you'll find you can build your credit and rewards without ever paying interest.

Academic Papers

This is a list of many of my essays and papers from university.     These are PDFs, so they open in a new tab.

The themes range and they are sorted by category. Many of the Criminal Justice papers touch heavily upon politics and society, and the ethics paper does as well. The others could be categorized as relating to society, or simply the arts and culture.

Criminal Justice (Society)

Paper 4 is written in response to a scenario which I no longer have access to, however I think it can be understood based on my response what the scenario was, at least well enough to consider the points I aim to make in the paper.

Computer Ethics (Society)

For Ethics in Computing class. Covers topics like dishonesty in news media, social media manipulation, censorship, and obscenities (which are legally banned, laws ignored).

Sociology, Culture, and Art

Term paper for Occupations and Organizations, a sociology class focusing on those two topics. I wrote about the career of Programming.

Term paper for Populations and Society. I chose to write about the rich culture and history of my home town. This is my longest paper, was very fun to research, and reads more like an extended article because I did not want the fun bogged down by an overly academic tone. The professor commented on that, but I still got an A and it was worth the points off for a better paper. Granted, it is not tightly focused, I covered a breadth of culture instead of depth.

Final Project for Music Appreciation 101. A descriptive analysis of "I Am" by Theocracy, in the style of the textbook we studied.

Paper about title. Written for Interdisciplinary Studies Senior Seminar class.

Portfolio made for my Interdisciplinary Studies Senior Seminar class. Intended and used for applying to graduate schools for architecture. I actually got accepted to a couple, but decided against it due to cost, hours and low pay... Architecture will remain a passion project, but is unlikely as a career until/unless I become indpendently wealthy.
